On November 13, 2024, we successfully held the DR project summary and recognition meeting at the SOETECK headquarters. The purpose of this meeting was to review and summarize the development process of the DR project, recognize the outstanding team members who excelled during the project implementation, and share the challenges and lessons we learned throughout the project to further promote our team’s growth and development.
The DR project, commissioned by Saudi Telecom, aimed to provide efficient and flexible container data center solutions for operators in the Middle East, enhancing their rapid deployment capabilities and business continuity. The core content of the project included the design and implementation of two 40-foot container data centers, each equipped with advanced equipment and systems such as an in-Row cooling system, UPS, PDU, OLT, ODF, Splitter, etc., ensuring high availability and security of data. During the design phase, our SOETECK project team fully considered customer needs, utilizing advanced design software and tools to ensure precision and visualization, laying a solid foundation for efficient operation and maintenance.
Throughout the project implementation, we demonstrated excellent cooperation and adaptability but also faced several pain points. For instance, frequent changes in customer requirements led to multiple adjustments in the project plan, increasing the complexity of implementation. And communication issues often arose, affecting the accurate transmission of information and decision-making efficiency. The project also lacked a clear person in charge, which slowed down our progress and problem-solving. Technically, we needed to continuously innovate to overcome challenges in the design and implementation processes, ensuring the smooth advancement of the data center project.

Despite encountering numerous challenges, SOETECK successfully addressed various emergencies by establishing a rapid response mechanism and conducting regular communications, ultimately ensuring the project was delivered on time. Our client expressed satisfaction with the results, believing that the container data center project laid a solid foundation for their long-term development.
We shared during the summary meeting our experiences and lessons learned during the implementation process, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability. Also, We recognized that future projects need to focus more on detailed planning and comprehensive communication to adapt to rapidly changing market demands, especially in the continuously evolving data center sector.
